The long awaited Sandy Candy Jewelry Design Party is finally here. Join us for a festive evening to design your own custom jewelry, a perfect gift for the holidays. There will be a limited drop of hammered metal shapes to pair with one of a kind ceramic charms. Bring a friend or loved one and make a one of a kind piece.

What is Sandy Candy?
Sandy & Candy aka Shay (Sandy) and Brigette (Candy) are the artists behind Clay by Shay and Garden City Projects. After many years of making jewelry independently these two besties began to combine their ideas to make dreams come true. Clay + Metal = Sandy Candy.

About the Jewelry
Brigette is a trained silversmith with an eye for design and a deep care for the environment. Brigette repurposes, up-cycles and reimagines materials. Her work is sculptural, minimalist, with a classic mid century feel.

Shay Woodhouse- Clay by Shay
About the Jewelry
We use stoneware, porcelain and earthenware clay, our designs are naturally waterproof, durable, and plastic-free. We offer an adventure-proof promise, guaranteeing the life of each piece of jewelry we make, reducing waste through free repairs and offering peace of mind that our jewelry is truly made to last lifetimes.
Bio
Shay Woodhouse was born 5th generation on a potato farm in Oakley, Idaho. She is a multimedia artist primarily working with clay, oil, and watercolor.
She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2018. Since then, she has resided in Boise where she has a full time studio practice and runs The Clay Collective offering classes and art shows to her community.
Jewelry Design Parties
Did you know Clay Collective is the home studio of Clay by Shay? We have hosted wedding parties, team bonding and corporate events, holiday parties, and more.
Come to our studio or request us to travel to you!
You design, we assemble. During your workshop your party will have access to the entire selection of Clay by Shay charms. Participants can design earrings, necklaces, or bracelets/anklets. Individuals choose between 14k gold or sterling silver findings. Pieces will be assembled on the spot and be ready to take home.
Option 1: Open Range, individuals pay their own way based on the complexity of their designs
Option 2: Fixed Fee. Pick an item from our makers menu and pre-pay for your group.
$200 party minimum | $50 to reserve the space. $50 per additional hour
Add Garden City Projects
Want Sandy Candy as an option at your Jewelry Design Party? For an additional $25, artist Brigette Nelson will make a special run of metal components to add to your party’s options. Each metal component is available for purchase and can be added to your Clay by Shay designs. Clay + Metal = Sandy Candy

Booking your Party
Reservations made Tuesday-Saturday between 10-5 are during our open store hours. There may be other students in the space or shoppers at the studio. For a fully private party book evenings.
