When are Open Studio Hours?

Sunday: 9-5

Monday: TBA

Tuesday- Friday: 10-5

Saturday: 10-6 pm (depending on whether you will be using the potter’s wheel or hand-building)

How much experience is required of Open Studio Members?

We recommend students take 2-3 of our 4 week courses prior to joining our Open Studio. Individuals must feel competent enough with the material to be able to work independently. We do not have instructors available during all of our Open Studio Sessions.

What is included with a membership?

Our 30 day Memberships includes 8 hrs per week of open studio time. Thursday Night Membership includes 12 hours of studio time with an instructor present. Both memberships include access to equipment, shelf/cubby space, communal tools glaze and firings. Clay is additional and can be purchased from our studio.

How do I book Open Studio Time?

After purchasing a memberships you will be given a code which you may use to book online or over the phone. Booking online is convenient, but may be accurately show our true availability as our Open Studio Schedule is subject to change based on our private and group class schedule. Please give us a call or text during store hours for help with booking.

Can I book Open Studio if I am not a member?

Open Studio is reserved for members and current students. We allow drop-ins to book case by case based on availability and individuals prior experience. All projects started by drop in students must be completed within one week. Please email: info@claybyshay.com to inquire about booking Open Studio Time.
