Discover the fundamentals of ceramics in this 6-week introductory course. Learn hand-building and wheel throwing along with surface decoration, glazing, and finishing techniques in a supportive studio environment.

Each class includes demonstrations, guided practice, and individualized instruction. Weekly focus: (1) clay basics & hand-building, (2) wheel throwing fundamentals, (3) refining & trimming, (4) surface design, (5) glazing, (6) final projects. No experience required. Ages 16+

No prior experience required.

Studio Provides:

  • First 20 lbs of clay

  • Access to communal tools

  • Glaze and underglaze

  • All firings
