Whether you're exploring a new hobby, checking pottery off your bucket list, or just looking for a creative way to spend an afternoon, this class is a welcoming introduction to the world of ceramics.
You'll learn the basics of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping simple forms while receiving plenty of guidance from your instructor.
What to Expect of your Try it! One-time Wheel Throwing Class
Expect a high energy class, lots of mud, and laughter.
What to wear:
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
Finger Nails:
Wheel throwing is tricky with long nails! Keep your nails short if possible.
One fired piece is included. Additional pots can be trimmed, glazed and fired for a $10 fee.
Pro tip: Bring a hand towel! We do not provide towels or paper towels to use during class.
Pottery takes 2-4 weeks to process. Sometimes pots do not survive the process (cracks & explosions happen!) Refunds cannot be provided in the case of broken pots.

Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
Please allow a few extra minutes to find parking.
Classes after 5 PM
You are welcome to park in the Valley Glass parking lot at 24th & Main.
They are our wonderful neighbors and generously allow our students to park there.

One-time classes may be rescheduled online up to 24 hours before class.
Rescheduling is only available within 24 hours of class time with a $30 fee

Classes are non-refundable.
In-store credit may be issued in the form of a gift certificate if requested 24 hours in advance.

We use Clay Track to keep you updated throughout the pottery process.
After Class
You'll register your piece(s) in Clay Track.
If you're attending as a group and would like ONE person to pick up everyone's work, submit a single registration that includes all of your group's pieces.
If individuals within your group would like to pick up independently, they can submit their own registration.
Email Updates
You'll receive email notifications as your pottery moves through each stage of the process.
Ready for Pickup
Your final Clay Track email will let you know when your work is ready and provide pickup instructions.
Most pottery is ready within 2–4 weeks, though occasional delays may occur due to kiln maintenance or other unforeseen circumstances.
